Troubleshooting the Claude Code connection

/mcp shows vidguy as needing authentication

Pick vidguy in the /mcp menu and choose Authenticate. A browser tab opens for the VidGuy sign-in.

Claude Code says the plan is not supported

The MCP connection needs a paid VidGuy plan (Starter and up). Upgrade in the dashboard and retry the tool call.

No. The MCP connection uses OAuth, so you approve access with a sign-in link. API keys are only needed for the CLI skill.
